This is a belief close to my heart: We are superheroes! Every last one of us! The question is: Do we rise to meet our destiny or do we give over to our doubts, fears, and insecurities? The superheroes we read about and watch on the screen are just as vulnerable as we are in so many ways. They suffer heartbreak and humiliation. What makes them heroes is that their commitment to a better world is stronger than the wounds they suffer.
Nobody said this life thing would be easy, though sometimes it is. When everything flows smoothly, enjoy your secret identity. Soak in the rays. Roll in the grass. Smile at a stranger. When things get tough and the world seems insurmountable, raise your sword, spin into your Wonder garb, or turn green with anger, and take direct action. Cut through the fear that would bind you, and experience the power within. It is greater than you can possibly imagine, and more than a match for the illusory obstacles we believe we face.
